Adam Atomic and Chevy Ray Johnson (the creators of Flixel and FlashPunk) founded the Flash Game Dojo to pool their collective knowledge of ActionScript programming, provide a trusted and benevolent host for SWF files, and to help ease new coders into the murky, shark-infested waters of creating their own Flash games. The site is an ad-free, non-profit enterprise for game design education.

Wolfenstein 3D was, long ago, released under the Gnu General Public License (GPL) as open source code, to enable game developers and others to tinker with the game’s underpinnings. Carmack has released the iPhone game’s source code as well. The code is of little to use to non-iPhone app developers, but it’s there for anyone who’s interested.
